Spring 2026
Happy Spring!
This past season has been one of reflection, growth, and meaningful transition. I started this year by enjoying three weeks in the Yucatán, Mexico on a personal writing sabbatical, an experience that reminded me how powerful it is to step outside of routine and witness the many ways people intentionally design their lives.
During my time there, I met remarkable individuals living courageous and unconventional paths. The owners of the boutique hotel where I stayed, originally from France and Barcelona, transformed their COVID-era uncertainty into a new chapter by purchasing and restoring a hotel abroad. I also connected with a Doctor of Kinesiology who left a successful clinic in Sydney to become an award-winning author and national board member, as well as a lovely couple that live in two different countries and have a wonderful relationship. These conversations reinforced how meaningful work often begins when people choose alignment over certainty.
While in Mérida, I completed my upcoming book, Ending Abuse, which will be released March 20, 2026. Sitting in cafés throughout the city of Mérida, the atmosphere and beauty acted as the perfect inspiration to write the entire 45,000 word book!
I have continued working part-time with Mamas for Mamas as a case worker, something I return to when time allows because of how deeply fulfilling it is. Supporting women and children escaping domestic abuse, helping families avoid homelessness, and connecting people with resources reminds me why community-focused work matters so deeply. I believe strongly in living with one hand forward and one hand back, contributing where we can while continuing to grow ourselves.
Professionally, I am rebuilding my private practice in clinical counselling after several years working in finance, private healthcare, and venture capital as a strategist and advisor. Returning fully to human-centred work feels aligned with my purpose and has been like a homecoming for me.
Across all areas of my work, I continue to see how closely emotional wellbeing, physical health, and life circumstances are connected. When people feel supported and regulated, communication improves, decisions become clearer, and outcomes unfold with greater stability.
I remain grateful to be part of a community dedicated to thoughtful and compassionate service. The work each of us does creates lasting ripple effects for individuals, families, and the broader society we share. Thank you for the work you do.
Keep up the great work of being you!
